Service
Intermodal & Drayage
Intermodal and drayage support is confirmed lane by lane. We only quote ramp or port movements where equipment and access are genuinely available.
Best-fit shipments
- Longer-haul freight with flexible transit
- Container pickup or return at a supported ramp or port
- Volume that benefits from rail economics
Availability
Ramp, port and chassis availability is verified before an intermodal quote is issued. If the lane cannot be supported, we will recommend a truckload alternative.
Required data
Container or booking number, ramp or terminal, last free day, weight, and any return deadlines.
Timing
Intermodal transit is generally longer and less flexible than truckload. Plan appointments accordingly.
Cross-border movements are arranged based on lane, capacity, insurance and current operating authority. Cantrans is not a licensed customs broker and coordinates with your appointed broker.
